CEO of Celtic English Academy appointed as Chair of English UK

We are thrilled to announce that Shoko Doherty, the CEO of Celtic English Academy, is now taking on the role of Chair of English UK’s board of trustees. Formerly the Vice Chair, she was officially appointed to her new position during this year’s AGM.

We are incredibly proud and grateful for Shoko’s dedication to our school and the ELT sector. Originally from Japan, Shoko was once an English language student in Cardiff herself. She exemplifies what is possible for those learning English as an additional language at our school.
